MDS experts, Dr Alan List and Dr David Sallman, describe the common
treatment options for
myelodysplastic syndromes (
MDS). The treatments discussed are: supportive care, therapies that help improve blood counts, disease-modifying treatment, high dose chemotherapy, and blood and marrow transplant (BMT). You might have some or all of these treatments, depending on your MDS type and risk category.
